Supplier evaluation
We conduct our business with high legal and ethical standards and business practices, and expect our suppliers to comply with the same high level of standards that we uphold. Helkama Bica has established compulsory supplier requirements for areas of compliance with legislation, environmental aspects, quality, occupational health and safety management, social performance, and cyber security.
We assess compliance with these requirements in both the selection and onboarding of a new supplier, and as part of our continuous supplier performance management program. We utilize questionnaires, onsite audits and evaluations for the supplier assessments, and complete them with immediate mitigation plans made together with the suppliers for any identified findings. As part of the supplier evaluation process, we assign ratings to our suppliers. These ratings are regularly maintained and subject to review based on changes in the supplier’s operations, organization, and overall performance.
